Bridge To Independence

Bridge to Independence is a strand that focuses on the off-campus work experience. Students spend time developing their academic and social abilities through use of social and communication skills, independent living skills, workplace readiness and behavior skills. Students also incorporate lessons learned from previous strands to achieve further success once reaching the Bridge to Independence strand. Class highlights include:

• Teaching students entry level job skills for off campus work.
• Developing workplace readiness and soft job skills.
• Making students feel independent while also working on neighborhood safety.
